For the ties, you've got to remember that they're being worn against a very dull white or blue shirt, under a more-than-likely dull black, grey, or navy suit. A little pizzazz (staying this side of eye-watering) goes not amiss.
Gah! Sinfugly! The jaggedy-line Fenzi and the blue Kenzo are the only two I'd ever even consider wearing. The shoes are ok, though.
