It's our own Southwestern version of finding Mallory & Irvine, but somehow, in Ruess's, I am almost sad that someone thinks they have solved the mystery of his disappearance.
He should always be 20 years old, out there walking with his burros.
I'm with you, Chas. It's a little like the (certainly false) theory that Bessie Hyde killed Glen, changed her name to Georgie White and spent the rest of her life driving Grand Canyon motor rigs and drinking Coors. Much more appealing than simply drowning in 234-mile rapid. One hates for a mythic story to become mundane.
