It should be noted that, if the amount of chocolate behind each door were diminished in direct proportion to the time remaining before Christmas, and the rate of chocolate consumption per unit of time remained constant, then all the chocolate would be consumed at the same time as in an ordinary advent calendar (which, in my family, was usually by about December 5th or 6th).

It should also be noted that, if the amount of chocolate behind each door were finite, and, apart from the first door, reduced in any constant ratio from the quantity behind the door preceding it, such a calendar would contain a finite amount of chocolate.
