The Dragon Waiting was a favorite and The Last Hot Time was enjoyable, although it did not pull me as much as the first.
The Dragon Waiting is excellent! The Last Hot Time I can read as a reaction to the Borderland series, but I agree that it does not succeed on its own merits.
Ford falls for me into the same group as Wolfe: authors smarter than I, who are not necessarily attempting something that interests me, but who are always worth reading.
