IF Comp 2018 Review: Tohu wa Bohu

tl;dr: Not for me, but good writing

"An immersive exploration of chronic depersonalization/derealization disorder."

There's a lot going on in Tohu wa Bohu, but I was unable to immerse myself. Some fiction immediately takes over your brain and makes its world yours. This one just didn't. In particular, the task of dragging a chosen word to another to get the next bit of text was just awkward enough to keep me aware of my body, sitting in my chair, being irritated with my trackpad. Maybe an intended effect? But still not great. That said, I liked the prose well enough to track down some of the author's other works.
